Lhaviyani Atoll, known locally as Faadhippolhu, is a compact but extraordinarily rich atoll. Its proximity to the Malé-Naifaru flight route makes it reasonably accessible, yet it feels wonderfully remote. The atoll is best known for its exceptional diving — the Kuredu Express drift dive is one of the most exhilarating in the Maldives, rushing divers through schooling grey reef sharks and eagle rays.

Kuredu Island Resort, one of the largest resorts in the Maldives, anchors the atoll’s tourism infrastructure. Luxury boutique properties are also emerging on nearby uninhabited islands.
