Faafu Atoll (North Nilandhe Atoll) is one of the Maldives’ smaller atolls but punches well above its weight in terms of marine beauty. Filladhoo island has one of the largest unbroken house reefs in the Maldives — a sprawling coral garden accessible directly from the shore that is home to over 100 species of hard coral.
The atoll’s few resorts are intimate and focused on diving excellence. The lack of heavy boat traffic means cleaner water and less disturbed marine life.
