Addu Atoll (administratively called Seenu) is the southernmost and second-largest atoll in the Maldives. Unlike most atolls, several of Addu’s islands are connected by a 14 km causeway — the Addu Link Road — creating a unique destination where you can drive between islands. The regional capital Hithadhoo is the second-largest city in the Maldives.
Addu’s British colonial heritage is visible in the remnants of RAF Addu, and the atoll’s relative isolation has preserved both marine ecosystems and local culture. The diving here is exceptional — the British Loyalty wreck, Grey Reef sharks, and abundant pelagics make Addu a bucket-list destination.
